Amanda walked back toward the barn from the paddock, after turning Whisky and Eclipse out. As she passed the drain pipe that attaches to the barn which she hopped over, she heard a pitiful mew. She jerked her head around at the base of the building, and scanned it carefully. A small ball-like creature moved around on the ground. Amanda crouched down and scooted over to see a small 'pinto' kitten with a large gash on its leg. Amanda gasped and gently picked up the critter. She took out her cell and called the vet. It's Amanda Hanson, i'm at whisper hills and i've found a stray kitten with a bad leg...okay...yeah that's fine..mmkay. she said, putting her cell back in her pocket. She rushed to the tack room and found some gauze to apply for now
After the vet inspected the kitten's leg, he wrapped it and made a small sling for it. There's no id for it, and no microchip, i checked that. She's yours if you like her. he offered, putting his tools away. Amanda wasn't that thrilled with cats, but she didn't not like cats. Sure she said smiling. She found a small piece of bailer twine which Amanda braids when she has nothing to do and tied it around the kitten's neck. That'll do for now..hmm..I'll have to think of a name for you..Kels and Nessa can help with that though. she said to the kitten, gently placing it in Whisky's now empty stall. The vet left and Amanda looked at the kitten, who nestled itself in the straw. Stay there. Amanda crooned.
