Amanda led the mare into the arena and latched the gate. She left Whisky loose as she set up some simple 3 foot jumps around at one end. Whisky, come here. she called, walking up to the mare. Whisky whickered and nuzzled Amanda playfully. She smiled and placed her foot in the stirrup, swinging up and onto the saddle. Her legs squeezed around Whisky's sides and asked her to trot circles at the clear end of the arena. Specks of dirt flew about as the appaloosa's hooves striked the sand. She cantered a few laps and asked Powerful Whisk to halt and backup, and repeated the same in the other direction. Amanda took Whisky down to the other end where a few jumps were and took her over a crossrail at a canter. She changed the lead as they approached a vertical. She looked around for anyone else to ride with, and half lost her balance as Whisky landed.
