New Member Help Guide

Because I am the nicest and kindest admin ever to grace the planet ( ;) ) I have created for all you new members a sort of 'Help Guide', to show you what to do when you first join Whisper Hills.

(Also you don't get into trouble and I don't have to constantly remind new peeps what to do. ;D)

  • READ THE RULES.

  • READ THE RULES AGAIN.

  • Create your character using the form in Member Profiles.

  • Start hunting for a horse! If there's none you like in the Sales Barn or in any auctions at Rockin' S Round-Up Ranch, go ahead and create one on Paradise Animal Adoption.

  • Create a thread with your charrie's name (Eg. 'Amanda's Horses') in the Horse Pictures & Info sub-board, located in the main stables. (PLEASE USE THE FORM!) Then put the stats of your horse IN THAT THREAD. Every time you get another horse, reply to that same thread with the stats of the horse.

  • PM the co-admin, Matt Steel, to discuss a stall for your horse. This is a VERY DELICATE BUSINESS (we had a big renovation of the stalls a while back) so make sure you PM Matt, and not me.

  • Want a pet? Buy one from Paradise and follow the same procedure for the horse stats. Go to the Member Profiles board and click on the sub-board titled 'Member's Pets'. Use the form stickied there.

  • Make your profile nice and pretty! Decorate your signature, change your display name and add a pretty avatar.

  • Now you can meet people! Create a thread anywhere and put *JOIN* in the title if you want other characters to join in.


Follow these guidelines and I guarantee you won't get into trouble! Well.... hopefully.... ;D
